About Pi

A project space for art, science and nature

Profile

Pi (π) Art Project is a non-commercial art platform in Frankfurt am Main. It is a place for dialogue across geographic, disciplinary and generational lines, and it deliberately places contemporary work in relation to historical artistic practice.

At its core is an interest in the intersections of art, science and nature. This focus builds on the long international practice of its founder, Mathias Kessler. Since moving from New York to Frankfurt, he has connected his international network with the local art scene, in a space outside the logic of the art market.

Since 2025 the artist Björn Drenkwitz has been part of the project. Together they develop programmes built on artistic juxtaposition and exchange, most recently the series Dialoge 2026.
